This is the most extraordinary example of this type of embroidery that we have ever had in our collection.
It is a print in the Indian style made in Manchester and dating from the 19th century. The print has been entirely hand embroidered with an amazing variety of stitch techniques.
Embroidered in silks it’s unusual for one of these prints to be entirely covered in embroidery, usually there is space around the embroidery but this one is covered in embroidery and has the addition of a gorgeous embroidered and slightly gathered edging.

Condition.
This embroidery is in excellent antique condition. All our textiles are antique and may have some of the idiosyncrasies such as small flaws marks and signs of wear which are to be expected and are an inherent part of their charm.
