Gilt Embroidered Zardozi Work Velvet Hat: India C19th

A dark red silk velvet hat from the India, dating from the 19th century with silver gilt embroidery (zardozi), lined in a peat brown cotton sateen.

In good antique condition, with some losses and rubs to silk velvet around the outer edges of the hat, some loose threads and tarnishing to silver threads, as you would expect in an antique textiles of antiquity.
