This wonderful headdress is from Indonesia, and is worn as part of the traditional dancers costume of Sumatra. The tiara is set with hundreds of iridescent diamanté which shimmer as the wearer moves.
The decorative elements which surround the headdress are on individual springs so that they tremble, move, and sparkle with the dancers movements.
The headdress fixes to the head with three long adjustable prongs at the back which keep the piece fitted to the head, there are also integral loops on either side to which ribbons could be attached.
