Dating from mid 19th century France, a working design for printed textiles with chinoiserie influences.

Hand-painted onto a heavy paper with gouache this historic design is still as bright and vibrant as when it was first painted.

The condition is fair antique condition with some scuffs and a couple of minor tears. One corner has been cut, probably by the studio to indicate that the design was no longer being used.

This painted design would look wonderful framed, which would also lend protection.

Measurements: 42cm W  X  47cm L
