Antique Ottoman Voided Silk Velvet Pillow Yastik: 18th Century Turkey
Item Details:
This is a beautiful voided silk velvet mat / yastik cushion cover, made in the Ottoman Empire during the 18th century (if not earlier) Bursa or Istanbul.
With gorgeous natural vegetable dyes in a stunning colours combination of indigo blue with magenta pink.
Featuring patterns and symbols of fertility, with grape vines suggesting that it was perhaps intended as a wedding gift.
