Crafted from indigo-dyed cotton constructed from multiple narrow loom woven panels stitched together.
Historically used for clothing but are currently popular as interior decor pieces, such as wall hangings.These handcrafted cloths are unique, showing variations in the indigo dye and stitch patterns.
Traditionaly Adire shawls are created by Yoruba women in southwestern Nigeria using specialized resist-dyeing techniques.
