This is an Arts & Crafts Jacobean Revival crewelwork embroidery panel, dating from the early 20th century.
The panel features a stylized "Tree of Life" motif, commonly found in 17th-century Jacobean embroidery.
It is worked in crewel wool on a cotton or linen fabric base.
The design includes exotic flowers, twisting vines, and stylized foliage, often accompanied by birds, insects, or small animals.
Jacobean designs were heavily influenced by Indian chintzes imported into England during the 17th century.
Can be used as a wallhanging, curtain or over a doorway.
