Antique Chintz with Flowers and Exotic Bird: Early 20th Century Europe

A lovely cotton chintz panel dating from the 1910/20.

Designed and printed in France it has a wonderful print with big blousy roses in pinks with foliage in shades of teal which works beautifully against the charcoal coloured ground. There also is a stylised bird which looks like a chicken but with peacock feathers!

This textile is suitable for study, archive, inspiration, or could be stretched and mounted and hung on a wall.

35 x 44cm

Condition.
The chintz is in excellent condition it has a seam running down the centre.
All of the items we sell are antique and as such have all the idiosyncrasies of an old and loved textile, so small marks, stains and signs of wear are to be expected and are an inherent part of their charm.
