Antique Collectable Coin Purse with Chinese Embroidery: C19th Britain / China

This is gorgeous!
A small handmade silk embroidered purse dating from
the early-mid 19th century.

This little purse was made just to hold a couple of coins, and has a pretty chased and gilded ring closure to keep the contents safe.

It is finished with little figured brass tassles and has two gilded bars with fancy finials running along the top edge to which a gilded chain is attached, this would have been worn over a ladies gloved finger.

Made in a pretty sky blue silk satin with a panel of decorative Chinese silk and gilt thread embroidery.

Measurements:
13cm tall x 8.5cm wide

Condition.
This is an antique purse which is in good antique condition. It has an overall patina of age as you’d expect, and some loose threads on one side. The purse would make a lovely present for someone, or addition to a collection.
