Antique Early Needlepoint Embroidered Still Life in Frame: C18th Britain

Item Details.
A lovely framed quintessentially English needlepoint wool-work embroidery from our studio collection, dating from the first half of the 18th century and probably English in origin.

Depicting an interestingly shaped vase standing on what looks like a marbled(?) plinth. The embroidery is abundant and very decorative and yet subtle in its colouring.

This lovely needlework has been put into a black painted unglazed frame at a later date and would suit most interior settings.

Measurements:
Outer frame: 68cm h x 54cm w
Inner frame: 63cm h x 49cm w

Condition:
Overall patina of age with rubs, small holes & losses to wool embroidery. Still lovely and could be easily restored.
