Antique Handmade Edwardian Tape lace Wedding Dress: C1900 England

Item Details.
A beautiful, entirely handmade tape lace dress dating from the Edwardian period circa 1909/1910.

With a longer hem or train at the back it lends itself beautifully to being a stunning wedding dress.

Unlined, we would suggest wearing it over a simple slip in a similar colour. We have used a nude colour short in our photographs but you could wear a longer length slip.

The dress is totally constructed with handmade tape lace with embroidered net panels and all over embroidered details.

The dress has delicate straps which have been added more recently. These can easily be replaced or altered to fit.

Because of the nature of the type of lace it has some stretch and we feel would fit between Uk sizes 8 - 10. Our model Amie is a UK size 8.

Bust: 34” (86 cm)
Waist: 31” (79cm)
Skirt length back: 51” (130cm)
Skirt length front:41” (104cm)

Condition.
The condition is good for a lace garment from this era. There are a couple of small age rust marks which it may be possible to remove with specialist cleaning.
