Item Details.
An extraordinary survivor, this ancient hand embroidered armorial panel with a flaming castellated turrets, prancing Lions, griffins and waterfowl dating from late 16th century, circa 1570

A special and very rare museum worthy textile.

Hand worked with appliqués and embroidered coat of arms quartered with crenellated turrets with flames with ribboning along the bottom reading ‘DEO DUCE OMNIA BONA’ which loosely translates to God guides good things.

This is an extremely rare textile approx 450 years old with an exquisite antique time worn condition with a faded grandeur appeal that can only be achieved over centuries of use.

Please study photographs as they do form a very important part of the description

We have professionally stretched and mounted this textile over a lined and interlined conservation grade board, ready for framing.
