Antique Filet Lace Embroidered Linen Bedcover or Throw: C1900 France

Item Details.
A wonderful and romantic hand worked and embroidered lace and linen bedcover dating from around 1900, from France.

The bedcover is entirely handmade and includes hand embroidery, drawn threadwork, embroidered filet lace, handmade lace & hand knotted fringing.

In order to photograph it we have pinned it to a cream heavy weight linen sheet,please note this is NOT included with the bedcover.

The cover has a beautiful handmade lace edging and has been finished with hand knotted tassels.

This superb bedcover would look great on a wall as a wallhanging, over a sofa or as a curtain panel.

205cm long (+ 15cm flaps)
x 154cm wide

Condition:
In excellent unused seemingly unused condition. Some light soiling along the center folding where the cover has been stored over the years - we are sure this would wash out with careful handwashing.
