Antique German Folk Art Dolls House Box Kitchen Diarama: C18th Germany

A beautifully detailed antique dollhouse kitchen diorama (commonly known as a German Puppenküche or room box) dating back to the late 19th century.

Also as a Nuremberg kitchen the traditional English name for a specific type of dollhouse, similar to a room box, usually limited to a single room depicting a kitchen. The name references the city of Nuremberg, the center of the nineteenth-century German toy industry. In German the toy is known as a Puppenküche (literally "dolls' kitchen")

The scene is framed by classical architectural yellow-painted fluted columns on the front.

The room includes miniature lace curtains, original patterned wallpaper, a work bench with integral sink, a corner dish rack, and a cast-iron style stove on the right side.

It is filled with charming vintage elements such as a coffee canister labeled "Kaffee", tiny ceramic cookware, a metal kettle and a small oil lamp.

Condition: Still in its original condition with an overall patina of age along with scrapes and knocks, chippy paint and losses to paper coverings.
