Antique Glazed Chintz Long Panel with Roses & Ribbons: C19th France

Item Details.
A long panel - 4 metres, of this softly coloured glazed chintz in reds, greens, yellows and blues on a cream ground. possibly made as part of a bedskirt, valance or border for bed hangings.

Dating from the early to mid 1800s century the print is delicate and has bouquets of roses with stalks of wheat hanging from pale blue ribbons. It is finished down each side with blue silk taffeta ribbon.

Great for textile study, reworking into pillows or for design inspiration these panels have a soft and timeworn beauty.

Measurements:
4 metres long x 30cm wide

Condition: In good as found antique condition. Colours good and strong. some light surface soiling and stains. A couple of small holes near the edge at one end.
