A gorgeous gilt framed panel of richly hand decorated leather wall covering dating from 18th century, from Spain.
Carefully placed into a lovely old gold, unglazed, antique frame at a later date, this is ready to hang and would suit most interior settings.
Some fine cracks to surface of leather, nothing detrimental to the piece as a whole.
Two photos at the end show a set of chairs upholstered in similar painted leather in the green salon of Damsgård Manor in Norway.
