An extraordinary antique embroidered armorial panel with a flaming castellated turrets, prancing Lions, griffins and waterfowl dating from late 16th Century circa 1570
A spectacular and very rare museum worthy textile.
Hand worked with appliqué and embroidered coat of arms quartered with crenellated turrets with flames with ribboning along the bottom reading ‘DEO DUCE OMNIA BONA’ which loosely translates to God guides good things.
This is an extremely rare textile approx 450 years old with an exquisite antique time worn condition with a faded grandeur appeal that can only be achieved over centuries of use.

Condition.
In time worn condition, entirely commensurate with age. All of our textiles are genuine antique pieces have all the idiosyncrasies of aged and loved pieces of cloth so small marks, stains and signs of wear are to be expected and are an inherent part of their charm.
