Antique Ottoman Silk Velvet velvet mat / yastik cushion cover.
Made in the Ottoman Empire during the 18th century (if not earlier), Bursa or Istanbul.
With gorgeous natural vegetable dyes in a stunning colours combination of deep indigo blue and magenta pink on a off white ground.
Featuring geometric patterns and symbols of fertility, suggesting that it was perhaps intended as a wedding gift.
