Wonderful fine antique silk embroidered wall hanging handmade in Canton, China and dating from the early 20th century around C1930.
Entirely hand stitched and embroidered in cerise pinks silks onto a pale blue silk satin ground.
The central decorative embroidery has peacocks with branches of flowering cherry blossom.
Its going to be hard to part with this piece! Some textiles just speak to you in a way that can be extremely difficult to ignore….
