Antique Textile Panel with Fine Detailed Print of Passion Flowers:

Item Details.
A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Probably first half 1800's. Repeating design of large passion flowers with small hydrangea blossoms.

The detail in this print is extraordinary! Please look at close up photographs.

Colours are pale yellow and cream on a ground with shades of a beautiful aubergine/mauve in the blossoms and background.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

146 x 84.5cm

Condition:
Quilted at one time so you will see light quilt lines. Some holes and wear at the sides, and some historic mends. Good piece for small projects, upscaling and documentation. No obvious stains. Colors are good and consistant.

The fabric has been given a very long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and then a gentle wash in cold water with soaps without bleaching agents.

It is our aim to deliver and clean and pressed product when possible but take great care to preserve the original color and the integretity of the fabric.
