Antique Traditional Folk Costume Babies Chintz Bonnet: C19th Marken, Netherlands Blue/pink

This is extraordinary! From a collection of chintz babies bonnets from Marken, The Netherlands circa 1800's. Tgey were traditional worn at the back of the head over a white lace cap.

This one is in a delightful pale sky blue with large pink flowers chintz, with a dainty traditional embroidered blue and white trim all around the edge. We believe the linings are of a later textile.

We have more of these babies bonnets, each different and special in their own way. All are listed in our shop, they would make a lovely collection if purchased together.

Measurements.
18.5cm along bottom edge.
13.5cm top to base

Condition.
They have some signs of age, minor marks and tiny flaws, nothing which is detrimental to the overall loveliness of each piece.
