Antique Berlin Woolwork with Beadwork Hand Embroidered Cushion or Pillow: C19th Europe

A wonderful pictorial needlepoint Berlin woolwork and heavily beaded panel dating from the mid 19th century which has been made up into this charming pillow or cushion.

Backed in a nice rustic antique linen it has been handmade with great thought and care.

The two women depicted are in 17th century traditional costume in a romanticised scene showing them praying at a roadside shrine.

This would look lovely on a small chair or against a larger sized pillow on a sofa.

Measurements: 32 x 38cm

Condition: In excellent antique condition, looks like it hasn’t been used previously!
