Art Deco Gold Embroidered Lace Panel: C1920 Ottoman
A beautiful black lace panel with handworked gold embroidery dating from the 1920s Art Deco period.
The embroidery suggests minarets, and is Ottoman in origin.
This panel is fragile and has some breakages in the lace border which would benefit from some careful restoration, the embroidery, centre square and four corners are in good condition for a lace textile form this era.
We suggest that it might benefit from being stretched and mounted, a service we can offer from our dedicated conservation studio in the Stroud valleys. Please contact us for details and a quote.
