Hand Beaded Silk Crêpe Dress: C1920s English

Dating from the 1920s era, an authentic 1920s beaded silk crêpe dress.

The decorative beading has been expertly applied by hand using white opaque and mercury silver bugle beads in a sweeping floral and foliage design.

Designed to glisten and sparkle as the wearer moves (and dances) this is a stunning dress which would suit many occasions.

The dress still has its wide sash belt which can be tied around the hips in a variety of ways - to one side etc.

Made in the fashionable dropped waist style, this dress would have been highly desirable in its day and is in good strong wearable condition having been carefully stored away.

All of our costume and the tiles are antique and as such have small flaws and blemishes as you would expect, these can include looses threads, tiny holes or marks. Anything more obvious we try to  describe including historic repairs and mends.
