A deep rose pink brocade silk satin runner dating from the 19th century, made for a church it was probably used as a runner for an alter.
The brocade is interwoven with silver motifs arabesques and borders, interspersed with stylised roses, the centre of the panel has a fabulous sun burst.
Suitable for use as a wall hanging, pelmet or runner on a table, this piece has a multitude of possibilities and would suit most interiors.
The panel is in excellent condition, with a few lose threads, and some minor areas of surface wear to the satin surface. The textile is fully lined in a green glazed cotton.
Measurements: 261cm X 52cm + 5cm gold fringe at either end.
