Fine Silk Embroidered Panel with Insects Birds & Flowers: C19th China

Dating from the late 19th century an ultra fine silk embroidery from China. This has to be one of the finest embroideries we have had in our collection and it is of museum quality.

Covered in wonderfully detailed insects, birds and flowers all hand embroidered in a reduced colour palette of blues and whites with touches of black silks which stand out beautifully against the white silk ground.

Measurements:

122cm long x 70cm wide

In good antique condition commensurate with age. There are some age marks and a raw edge running around all sides.
