A beautiful and intricately embroidered linen blouse from Southern Romania. Skilfully embroidered with a lovely floral motif border which runs over the shoulders.

Embroidered onto a medium weight off white hand-loomed linen, this blouse is a part of a traditional folk costume. It is highly fashionable today and would look fabulous, as shown here, worn simply with jeans.

Condition.
In good wearable condition, is perfect as a study piece or as part of a collection of traditional costume. Some light marks/foxing on back of blouse which it may be possible to remove with careful soaking and washing.
