Item Details:
A large size hand block printed Kalamkari with hand written script within repeating lozenge shapes decorating the borders.
A wonderful traditional and highly decorative hanging printed by hand using natural dyes,madder reds, pinks and indigo blues.
The deep borders run around a large central panel filled with repeating flower pattern, suggesting a meadow.
We are not sure what this was used for but its size suggests it may have been designed as a canopy or a large floor covering.
