Ottoman Turkish Embroidered Boçha
This early C1800s boçha was made to be used as a wrapping at ceremonies. Possibly from the Nišantęs workshop, Istanbul.
The chartreuse green silk ground is embroidered with floral motifs which form roundels, silk embroidered in fine chain stitch.
Backed in a cotton muslin. Some historic repairs and watermarking to silk ground.
