Pair Neoclassical Patinated Bronze Ewers with Winged Mythical Creatures: C19th France

A neoclassical style pair of patinated bronze ewers dating from the 19th century,possibly brought back from the Grand Tour these were inspired by Ancient Greek or Roman artifacts.
With decoration inspired by that of Ancient Greece and Rome, this pair have a subtle beauty. With long ornate handles and with mythical winged creatures, they would have once graced a fine over mantle.
The food of the ewer rests on a black marble terrace which gives them a lovely weight and stability.
Measurements:
43cm tall from top of handle.
14cm widest point.
Condition.
The condition is good for items of this antiquity, an overall patina of age all as you would expect from an item of this age. One piece of decorative embellishment missing we have only just noticed this so it’s not at all obvious. We have reflected this in the price.
