Pair of Tiny Antique Hand carved Treen Sabots: C19th Europe

Item Details.
From Europe a pair of small beautifully carved sabots probably made by an apprentice as examples of their work.

Larger versions of this were made for adults to wear and wear a common sight in the 19th century in parts of France.

This pair are delightful and would make a lovely decorative item in your home. Originally tied together these could be hung on a wall.

There’s a lovely rustic quality about these shoes but they also have a finesse and refinement because of being Treen but also you can tell that someone has put their absolutely best efforts into making this pair.
