Traditional Silk Embroidered Woman’s Wedding Shawl Abochani: C20th Larh, Sindh Pakistan

Woman’s traditional antique wedding shawl (abochhini) probably Memon group, Badin, Larh : first half 20th century.

Worked onto an off-white cotton ground with lovely dusky pink floss silk embroidery. This shawl comprises of two narrow woven  panels sewn together with centre seam. The original pen drawing design for embroidery is still discernible.

In excellent antique condition. all the items we sell are antique and as such small flaws, slight marks, patina etc are to be expected and are part of the items history. We try to report historic mends and repairs and any noticeable damage.
