Soviet Printed Textile with Sunrise and Tassels: C19th Russia
Item Details.
We have two panels of this extraordinary red and yellow rollar printed soviet era cotton print with tassles and rising sun dating from 1900.
Found on one of my travels to the East we think this once lined a coat from Uzbekistan which are often lined with these extraordinary soviet produced prints.
We love the combination of the tassles interspersed with gorgeous tassles and star burst like decorations.
Its very difficult to capture accurate reds with a camera and so I’d describe these as turkey red with a bright saffron yellow.

Condition.
In good antique condition for a textile from
this era. A scattering of small holes and tears which could be mended. Uneven shape as taken from old garment.
