Striped Victorian Bodice Costume: C19th France

Item Details.
This is divine! Bought in a specialist costume market in the South of France, an original Edwardian high neck bodice dating from around 1910.

Beautifully made in a slate grey and cream striped cotton with ruby red silk satin trim around the shoulders.
It also features lovely pleat and pin tuck details.

Fully lined in checked fabric, it is finished with original pearl buttons which are hidden when the outer layer front placket is fastened.

Bust: 34" (86 cm)
Waist: 26" (66 cm)
Neck Nape to Hem: 17" (43 cm)
Sleeve Length: 23.5" (60 cm)
Collar: 15" (38 cm)

Condition: Very Good.
Overall condition is remarkably good for an item of this age. The red satin trim shows signs of wear and age, there are one or two hooks missing and tears to the inner layer (pictures available, please ask) There are also a couple of pinky marks on the white stripes on the bodice front.
