Traditional Block Printed Panel Wrapper Florals with Copper and Gold: C1930s Japan

Item Details.
A stunning panel of traditionaly block printed cotton from Japan, but with a difference as this has been block printed with an overlay of copper in the centre with pale gold on the borders which lifts the panel to another level.

We think this may have been intended as a wrapper for a gift and it looks as though it has never been used.

The centre of the panel has an all over design of florals in indigo, taupes, yellow and greens which contrasts beautifully with the copper. The border has been printed in a terracotta with indigo details with a gold overlay.

Condition.
In very good antique condition.
All of the items we sell are antique or vintage and as such have all the idiosyncrasies of an old and loved textile, so small marks and signs of wear are to be expected and are an inherent part of their charm.
